The Power of One:
Sherry's Story

Sherry Williams is a Mom from the bay area  who is using her talents and energy to share her concerns about  public education in  California.  She calls her website Poetic S.O.S. an acronym for Power Of E-mail To Inspire Californians - Save Our Schools.

Sherry has contacted  thousands of Californians to mobilize support for K-14 public education and seeks to motivate others to do whatever they can, from writing letters to forwarding e-mails, to spread the word about our governor's plan for public education and increase our ranks.

Please visit her website and let her inspire you in action!

Welcome!

Our progress as a nation can
be no swifter than our progress
in education.

About Poway Unified Education Advocates ::

We are a coalition of parents, teachers, administrators, and community members who are united in our support of public education.

We are interested in the improvement of public education in California.

We are opposed to Governor Schwarzenegger's 2005-06 budget which the independent legislative analyst's office shows will result in cuts to funding in education.

We believe that the voter-approved Proposition 98 must be protected to ensure minimal levels of funding for education.

We believe in actively participating in the democratic process by contacting our political representatives and sharing with them our concerns about education legislation and budgeting.

Please contact us at JoinUs@PowayUEA.org
